Who loves money review

by Declan on May 8, 2007

Carson and Kyle, the creators of Wealthy Affiliate, have been talking about their new ebook for the last few weeks.
I’m a member of WA and I also get emails from Travis Sago at BumMarketingMethod so I was well informed about the launch.
They were eager to give people a head start on promoting the product before it was even released causing quite a buzz on forums.

People from Wealthy Affiliate quickly began taking the Bum Marketing route with articles on squidoo, hubpages, ezine articles, usfreeads etc in order to cash in on the searches that would begin in earnest when the book was launched.

To be honest I got cuaght up in the buzz because I had read both of their previous ebooks: Inside the list and Beating adwords, and thought they were really excellent. Wealthy Affiliate takes my money every month and is worth every penny. I waited for the launch and after getting an email from Travis promising a bonus I made my purchase on WhoLovesMoney.com

The blurb for Who Loves Money was that it was suitable for beginner, intermediate and advanced marketers.

“Within Who Loves Money we have revealed the pages of our personal marketing journals exposing techniques that many people do not know about. We strategically rip apart the techniques in their most complex form, and put them back together in an easy to understand guide that anyone will be able to understand and implement.”

This is my review for an ebook that costs $87 so, is it worth it?

Personally I was disappointed in Who Loves Money.

It’s not a bad book, there are some good techniques explained, a very interesting case study on how they made $60 per minute and excellent advice on how to start making some money without having 1000′s to invest.

On the other hand, there are pages of advice on buying hosting, ( packed with their affiliate links ) forums to use for promotion and more advice on where you can get a free blog. While I understand that this is new to some people and therefore very useful information, it definitely feels like filler in an $87 ebook with 106 pages.

Almost every single thing in Who Loves Money has already been mentioned in the Wealthy Affiliate forum. Often by regular members helping each other out.

Given the choice between the 2 I’d have to choose the Wealthy Affiliate forum every time. If you pay for 2 months membership (2 x $30) you’ll still get a cheaper deal than the new ebook, plus you get to ask specific questions about any stage of the affiliate marketing game.
There are lots of members who are making their money by writing articles based around long tail, specific keywords and adding links to affiliate offers. As well as people buying their traffic from google or marketing to a list via emails.

You can get all the advice you need and you can cut your losses at $30 if you think that it’s not for you.

If you think it’s too expensive to pay for WLM you can sign up to clickbank.com Once you’re a member you can buy through your own affiliate link and take advantage of the commission ;)

Hey… this is for WA folks. Has anyone heard from Carson the last two (2) days? I’m wondering if they’re having email problems up there. Let me know with reply to this post. Much appreciated.

I haven’t tried to contact either of the 2 guys recently but I’m sure they’ll reply once they get a chance. If they’ve been away I’m sure there will be a bit of a backlog.

I looked into joining W/A, I received the emails about their new upgraded sight. I tried to find some detailed information on the success that members have. I am sure it is a tried and tested program as it has been around, Is it me or is it just one launch after another? I will watch the W/A chatter for more info..

Nice blog guys……..
